Alabama Moon by Watt Key

This is the best book! It is about a boy that is raised in the woods of Alabama by a government hating dad. He is put in jail for a night and because he has never slept in a real bed or eaten regualr food, he asks if he can live there. Moon eventually makes a friend and the ending will surely make you cry. It is honestly one of the best books I have read. The author lives in Mobile and this book refers to Mobile and the Mobile Bay.

The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

Finishing the book was spectacular. Makes one remember, in an older perspective, that love actually does exist and if its suppose to be there between the couple then nothing can stop it (not even a disease.) In the book ending, Allie and Noah finally get to share one last kiss, even Allie finally remembers Noah, before death parts the lives of the two characters.

A Child Called “It” By:Dave Pelzer

Dave wrote 3 books about his life and this is the first. It is an interesting, but, sad story. He gets beaten, starved, and embarrased by his mother. She also tries to kill him by making him lay in the bath tub naked, and with his head and ears underneath the water. The water is freezing. When she feels the tub up with water she doesn’t turn on the hot water. When his mother finally says it is time for him to get out and put his clothes on, he reaches for the towel and she said “no. you will put your clothes on just as you are and you will sit outside until we are done with dinner.” He tried to sit in the sun but she said he had to sit in the shade.

Call of the Wild

He knows he might not survive this night…

God Still Don’t Like Ugly Mary Monroe

I’m still currently reading “God Still Don’t Like Ugly”. Now I’m at a good point in this book where Annette tells all about her life. Annette had a terrible life as a child but she got through it.
