You'll get a broad overview of the typical hardware and software that is provided by the district, such as online learning, Microsoft Office, United Streaming, blogs, teacher web pages, district and school websites, as well as learn about the policies and regulations for using technology in your classroom. (Experienced teachers who want to learn more about these topics are also welcome to enroll in this course.)

- United Streaming is a digital video-on-demand service that you can access from your classroom. It provides you with instant access to over 40,000 educational video clips, over 18,000 images and 27,000 encyclopedia articles. Many of the videos have black-line masters, quizzes and other resources that accompany them. You can play an entire video or just the few minutes that focus on your topic. In this online course you will learn how to find videos that match your curriculum, download them to your computer and play them in your classroom. - Moodle provides teachers with an online classroom filled with a variety of tools to supplement the regular classroom activities. Tools available include discussion boards, chat rooms, wikis, glossary, quizzes, and many others. Students can access the activities from school or at home.
